Holiday Meal Strategies

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I know I have not posted a new blog in a while… Sorry L, shame on me. Now that it is the Christmas/New Year’s season I hope to more blogging.

This blog concerns eating healthy at all the Christmas, as well as the New Year’s, parties and dinners that you will be attending, by all means go and socialize just strategize before you go. I am well aware sometimes healthy is not available, so one must use your brain not just your eyes and tummies to guide you.

A few strategies to avoid overeating, unhealthy eating, and feeling guilty about what you did consume:
(1)   As mentioned above, plan ahead.
(2)   Eat what you want, but cut portions in ½.
(3)   Eating breakfast before the “MEAL”, this can help curb your desire to over indulge.
(4)   Don’t go back for seconds, but if you do, make sure both helpings is not piled high, just get a spoon full of each of the things you want.
(5)   If you do over do it and feel guilty, tomorrow is a new day…GET BACK ON TRACK and DON’T HAVE THE “OH WELL” attitude and stay off the wagon.
(6)   Last, but not least, TAKE A WALK NOT A NAP.

That is all I have for today. Have a wonderful day and also enjoy the time leading up to all the festivities.

Until next time
