Wisdom Wednesday... Heartburn

Good Morning All,

BRRRR here from Virginia... Yes, I know it is cold all over, but it was warm enough to go sailing Sunday... and now NOT so much. Well it has been a while since I did a WISDOM WEDNESDAY... so I am doing one today... The past few days I have been having some heartburn issues, so I did some research on this topic... Here is what I have found.

There are many 'Trigger' foods that may cause an occasional bout with heartburn:   Heartburn by netbobz
  • Onions
  • Coffee
  • Fatty or Spicy foods
  • Carbonated Beverages
  • Whole Milk
  • Chocolate...NOOOOOOOOOOO
  • Citrus Fruits
The best way to avoid heartburn from these items is to LIMIT THEM. Some other ways to avoid heartburn is: Don't eat before bed, Chew gum to stimulate the flow of saliva, Eat smaller meals throughout the day, Maintain a healthy weight and exercise, Do not smoke, or drink an excessive amount of alcohol and caffeine, and Do not wear tight-fitting clothes.

From the list above I see where some of my problems lay. I am going to have to work on these.
