Drink Healthy

 Good Afternoon All,

Boy what a different a week makes!!! Instead of 70 degrees and sunny, it is now 42 cold and rainy…waiting for it to snow sometime tonight. Where is the happy medium? That’s okay though, if we didn’t have rain/snow there would be no water and no life…

Since today is Thursday, I think my topic should be about drinks… Thirsty Thursday. I am looking for some healthy drinks to add instead of just water. In researching this I came across some wonderful sounding recipes on Dr. Oz’s website. I am going to give some of them a try, and post the recipes and links here:

Circulation Smoothie
Get your blood pumping with this easy smoothie recipe. It’s chockfull of ingredients with antioxidants that boost blood flow and can help to keep your arteries clear.

 Ingredients:
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 banana
5 strawberries
1/2 cup yogurt
Directions: Put all ingredients in a blender, and blend until desired consistency is reached.

Heart Attack Prevention Cocktail
The cranberry juice in this cocktail is packed full of antioxidants, while the stevia will work to relax your blood vessels. Drink this cocktail in the morning.
 Ingredients:
1 part pure cranberry juice
1 part flaxseed oil
4 drops of liquid natural Stevia

Directions: Take a shot glass. Fill half the glass with the cranberry juice and half with flaxseed oil. Top off with 1-4 drops of stevia in liquid form.
These are just a couple of recipes he has listed on his website… There are many more. http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/heart-healthy-drinks
