Well today is a gloomy day here in Virginia Beach. It would be a great day to spend cooking, but I have other household duties that need to be tended to.
Just to let everyone know I am going to try to blog at least twice a week. I will be sharing recipes, vlogs from my YouTube channel, food facts, and some other fun food activities.
On this day I had a guest cook in the kitchen---My lovely daughter, Stacy. This is her recipe, so I learned a new meal to make. She helps me video tape and edit my vlogs. I want to take this time to thank her for all of her help.
Food Fact for Today: COFFEE
The Fact: The most expensive coffee in the world comes from civet poop
Kopi Luwak are coffee beans that come from Civet (a cat sized mammal) poo. The animals gorge on only the finest ripe berries, and excrete the partially-digested beans, which are then harvested for sale. Kopi Luwak is the most expensive coffee in the world, selling for between $120 and $600 USD per pound, and is sold mainly in Japan and the United States, but it is increasingly becoming available elsewhere. My question is: who the hell discovered that it tasted good?
